Choose from the 82km course from Sydney or the 58km course from Engadine, cycling through iconic locations including Stanwell Tops, the Royal National Park, Sea Cliff Bridge with a mighty finish in Wollongong amongst a backdrop of surf, sun and sand.
Please note the course is not a fully road closed event. There are varying road conditions along the course. Some sections of the course are shared roads i.e. share roads with regular traffic and some sections are lane closures. The Royal National Park section of the course is the only section where the road is closed to all vehicle traffic.

The MS Sydney to the Gong Ride has a total ascent of 1059m.
We pride ourselves on having the highest safety standards and emergency procedures in place to ensure everyone has an enjoyable and safe ride. We have 16 medical support vehicles, 22 police vehicles with 124 police, 430 volunteers and 5,000 traffic cones to help direct and assist you along the course – this is a much higher level of support than most cycling events in the country!
We work closely with the NSW Police Force and Roads and Transport Management Centre to provide extensive traffic management along the way, reducing the volume of traffic along the course creating buffers between cyclists and vehicles ensuring that you have a safe an enjoyable ride.
