I'M RIDING 80KM THIS OCTOBER
THE DISTANCE FROM
Sydney TO WOLLONGONG
I'm taking the Challenge to fight MS (again - I hope)
This November, I am taking part in the 2025 MS Gong Ride! I'm not sure what # it is but it's been a while.
Why am I fundraising?
One of my best friends has Multiple sclerosis (MS), which is a chronic and often debilitating disease that attacks the central nervous system. It is the most common neurological disease in young adults and often attacks people in the prime of their lives. Cases of MS are rising and over 33,300 Australians live with the condition.
I have a much better understanding of how debilitating nerve pain is, and the physical limitations it can cause after having a case of extreme and unmanageable sciatica in mid 2024. Mine was at least treatable with surgery, and rehab (still ongoing, hence the "I hope" I can do this ride).
MS is unpredictable and requires ongoing treatment that is very unique and changes as the MS progresses.
Your support will help people with MS receive the vital support, treatments, and services to help them live well at home, remain connected to work, and be part of the community, becuase no one should face MS alone.
