Who I ride for
Friday 24th Oct If anyone asked if there was a who behind my motivation prior to this year I would have said no. I competed this ride twice before, that last being in 2001, it was a time when I was riding a lot and always trying to do long distance rides. The journey to change all that started last year when I got involved with a group called The Athena Project. They help survivors of sexual Violence and this year I was fortunate enough to become an advocate for them. Their founder is a survivor herself and from the moment I heard her story I knew I wanted to help in anyway I could. Fast forward to last month when they held their first AGM and the founder, Jordyn Parry, had to step down after being diagnosed with MS. Jordyn is now the who, and whilst I ride for all those with MS, Jordyn is my main motivator to ride.Thank you to my Sponsors
