I'm taking the Challenge to fight MS!

I’m taking part in the 40th MS Gong Ride Virtual to help fight MS!

Your donation will help people affected by multiple sclerosis to receive vital support, treatments, and services that will enable them to live well at home, remain connected to work and be part of the community.

MS affects more young people than any other chronic neurological condition. The average age of diagnosis is 30 years, and there is no known cure. Every person’s MS varies, but some of the symptoms are not being able to see properly (or at all), loss of balance, ability to walk, pins and needles, and chronic pain.

Personally, A relative of mine has been diagnosed with MS. Although I am not directly effected. I have learned many of the challenges through the grape vine. This is a small but direct commitment to helping them and all others with an MS diagnosis.

For the month of October, I intend to ride a kilometre for every dollar raised for MS! I Hope this commitment inspires; those that would like to contribute, or those that enjoy my suffering to Donate!

Thank you again for your support!

My Updates

Another great day! - Another great challenge!

Thursday 9th Sep
It's been incredible seeing all the support come from family, friends and the community! for this reason I've decided one goal just wasn't enough!!!

It's been an interesting week on the bike, only a few weeks ago I was kicking fitness goals from the 50, hitting new speed records and even completing a half marathon! it all looked good until a single loose rock changed that, I had sprained my ankle early through a session and decided to run the whole 15km through it. (maybe that wasn't the best idea)

Aside from the obvious sprained ankle, the instability resulted in a range of consequences; Inflammation of both ACLs, Back strain, and calf tension. I was unable to walk for a few days and still cannot run at my regular pace. (maybe bush running wasn't the best idea?)

It gave me a lot of time to chill out and let my muscles recover, but I'm back on track now, I even managed to get my brother into it here and there. Now it's spring! a better time than any to get outside as much as possible.

The extra sunlight has got me training a few extra hours per week, This gives me a great deal of time to think about all the little and large life things happening. And you are one of them! I'm proud to be out there training my heart out for the people in my corner!!! It's the little extra push to get over that hill and I couldn't thank you enough for that support.

Our little efforts here and there may seem trivial but they're the difference between a good time and a great time. These small inspirations shift us closer and closer to our endgame and in this case closer and closer to a peaceful life with MS! with $175+ we've raised enough to support the full training of an MS professional who can provide accurate information and  lifechanging support for someone diagnosed with MS.

That's why I'd like to move the posts and inspire you to make a small contribution to MS. And by popular request try something I never thought I could do!

Therefore, While completing my regular and challenge kilometres, I've decided if I reach $500 I'll complete the Mudgee to Wollongong Victory lap to celebrate all the amazing people required to achieve that goal!

We've only just begun, I hope this quick updated has enlightened you and that you too can kick these goals with me. It takes 100 hands to build a home and thank you for being one of them!
