hy are we fundraising?
We’re a few kids from the Sole Stepper Race Walking Squad who love race walking — where the rules say no losing contact and always keep your knees straight! But when it comes to supporting our community, we’re doing the opposite: staying in contact and bending the rules to show up for a cause that means so much.
This November, we’re trading in our race walking shoes for bikes and taking on the MS Gong Ride to support two incredible people in our lives — our coach Alissa, who lives with MS, and Jude, one of our amazing squad mums, who was recently diagnosed.
We’re riding to raise awareness and much-needed funds for people living with MS. Every week, 10 Australians are diagnosed with this challenging and unpredictable disease. The money raised will help fund vital support services, groundbreaking research, and bring us one step closer to a cure.
We’re proud to be part of the Sole Stepper Race Walking Squad, and even though we’re race walkers at heart, we’re riding as a team to show Alissa, Jude, and everyone with MS that we’ve got their back. No red cards here — just love, support, and determination.
