Meet Zarko

01 Oct 2026

Long time fan, first time rider, Zarko always had his eye on the MS Gong Ride. He admired the support it raised for people living with MS, the challenge it would pose for him, and the incredible scenery on the course, but life and injuries had previously stood in his way. Now, 2026 is the year he decided it was finally time to take on the Ride to Fight MS!

He is ready to show people that no matter where you are in life, you can achieve what you set your mind to. Before signing up to the MS Gong Ride, Zarko had never completed a ride longer than 30km, now he has increased his training ride distances in preparation for the 80km course. While tackling the longer distances are challenging, Zarko knows that people living with MS overcome challenges every day, and he’ll keep pushing on for them.

“People living with MS face challenges every day, and the condition can affect so many aspects of their lives. Being able to raise awareness and contribute in some small way, whether through fundraising or simply starting conversations about MS, is incredibly rewarding.”

It's been a great reminder of how connected local businesses are to their communities and how willing people are to support a worthwhile cause. It also reinforces the importance of supporting local businesses wherever we can.”

For his very first MS Gong Ride, Zarko is most looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere, and being amongst other like-minded riders who are there to raise funds and awareness for people living with MS. He is especially looking forward to the final 20km as you ride into Wollongong and straight to the finish line - it is going to be electric!

This is your sign to join Zarko in the 2026 MS Gong Ride. It is an incredible day out with fellow riders, a beautiful course, and the knowledge that just by being there you are helping raise awareness and support for people living with MS.

“If our efforts can help make someone's day a little easier, provide additional support, or simply put a smile on someone's face, then it's absolutely worthwhile.”
