A huge shout out to our sponsor and partner Nuzest, whose generous donation once again helped us achieve a brilliant boost to our fundraising!
We are delighted to share that the 2023 MS Gong Ride Matched Giving Day, held on 28 September, was another huge success! On Matched Giving Day, every online donation received by our 2023 MS Gong riders was doubled and added to their fundraising page (up to limit of $20,000).
765 individual donations were made on Matched Giving Day, and it was great to see so many of our riders using this opportunity to raise awareness of our cause, boost their fundraising, and ultimately help support people living with multiple sclerosis.
In total, we raised an incredible $70,451.52, with $20,000 coming directly from our generous event partner Nuzest.
These funds will have a direct and tangible impact on people with multiple sclerosis by helping them to live well at home, in the community and in their workplaces. The funds raised allow us to continue providing important services and programs, such as:
Plus Connect
We receive around 17,700 calls to our free helpline each week.
Plus Advisor
Each week, more than 1,400 people with MS reach out for specialised advice from a caring nurse, occupational therapist or social worker.
Plus Employment
800 people (or more) receive employment support to help them stay in their jobs or find employment.
Plus Peer Support
People with MS, and their loved ones, find social connection through peer support groups - whether it be online, in-person or over the phone.
