First official road ride to support MS.

This November, I am taking part in the 40th MS Gong Ride!

Since 1981, this iconic ride has raised funds to help fight MS and I'm now part of this incredible legacy.

Why am I fundraising?

It’s quite staggering to think that multiple sclerosis affects more young people than any other chronic neurological condition. The average age of diagnosis is 30 years, and there is no known cure.

Every person’s MS varies, but some of the symptoms are not being able to see properly (or at all), loss of balance, ability to walk, pins and needles, and chronic pain.

Your support will help people with multiple sclerosis receive the vital support, treatments, and services to help them live well at home, remain connected to work, and be part of the community.

Thank you again for your support!

Al's Training for next Mid Life Crisis

Tuesday 22nd Jun
Hi All,

So after being Big Al for many years, I decided 2021 (my 47th Year) was the year to get healthy and slim down after touching a ton just after Christmas.

I managed to secure the motivation of some close friends who support / abuse me regularly (but mostly encourage) me to keep going especially on the bike side. Given there is a moratorium in my house on road riding, I do spend many hours in my pain cave on the virtual trainer riding various virtual roads with Adrian (who lives in Coffs) and sometimes James as well as the occasional Virtual friend from around the world. No they are real people!

I have a series of fun runs starting with the Lindfield 10lk back in April and this week is the Cooks River 10K and 2 more each month and culminating with a half marathon in October in Parramatta. Then its into Tri season and getting back in the ocean instead of the pool.

So help support MS and if you post a comment on my Facebook page I will donate $5 on your behalf.....

Thank you to my Sponsors
