I'm taking the Challenge to fight MS!

I am taking part in the MS Gong Ride Virtual, the Ride to Fight MS.

I start my challenge on 1 October and have chosen to do the 3740km version. To put this into perspective this year's Tour de France is  less then this.  It will be the most I have ever ridden in a single month.  You will be able to see my progress here on my page and support me along the way!

Why am I fundraising?

It’s quite staggering to think that multiple sclerosis affects more young people than any other chronic neurological condition. It can strike anyone at any time and the symptoms vary so widely.

My Mum has MS and this ride is for her. The pain and mental fatigue I will go through is nothing compared to how MS can and does affect people.

I ask you to please support this monumental challenge by donating to this cause.

Thank you again for your support!

Planning taking shape

Tuesday 15th Sep
After some test rides the planning for the october callenge is taking shape.  At this stage it looks like it will be about 100km per day with Satudays being a long one between 210km and 250km.  Mondays will be a rest day to try and let the body recover.  For the curious, here is the draft plan - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/148lVFcJ0Ufv4bX2-gfEBVNbrhMBwhVAPwYbZZ_xzFQk/edit?usp=sharing

First test ride

Wednesday 2nd Sep
Ok today was my first test ride to see what a morning and evening ride feels like. This is to see what effort it takes for my body and what average speed I can keep. Felt good. Did an hour in the morning and 2 tonight. 90km in total.

Thank you to my Sponsors
