I'm taking the Challenge to fight MS!
On November 1st, I am taking part in the 2026 MS Gong Ride!
This year is extra special as the MS Gong Ride celebrates 45 years of riders coming together to support people living with MS and other neurological conditions. I can't wait to be part of this incredible legacy
Why am I fundraising?
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic and often debilitating disease which attacks the central nervous system. It is the most common neurological disease in young adults and often attacks people in the prime of their lives. Cases of MS are rising and over 37,700 Australians live with the condition.
Your support will help people with multiple sclerosis receive the vital support, treatments, and services to help them live well at home, remain connected to work, and be part of the community, becuase no one should face MS alone.
Thank you again for your support!
My Updates
Training Update - 17th September
Thursday 17th Sep I usually ride short and fast runs in my neignbourhood, mostly taking back streets, to avoid traffic. I was nearly home 2 days ago when a huge truck on a back street drove straight towards me.... I suspect the driver didn't see me. He had dropped off a skip bin, and I phoned the number on the side to complain. The Transport Manager called, was very apologetic and told me the action he would take. But this was very much a learning episode for me - don't assume drivers can see you.
I just need to raise the level of my 'defensive' cycling to 15/10.... ........On a positive note - even when I ride in heavy traffic, almost all drivers give me space. I use a little rear-view mirror, which really helps me. Highly recommended.

Ride well!!
