I'm taking the Challenge to fight MS!

I am taking part in the MS Gong Ride Virtual, the Ride to Fight MS.
I start my challenge on 1 October and plan to ride 1286 km - the distance from Adelaide to Wollongong - during the month. You will be able to see my progress here on my page and support me along the way!
Why am I fundraising?
It’s quite staggering to think that multiple sclerosis affects more young people than any other chronic neurological condition. It can strike anyone at any time and the symptoms vary so widely.
For instance, can you imagine waking up one day unable to do the everyday things you would usually take for granted? Like not being able to see properly (or at all), you physically can’t get out of bed, can’t walk to the phone to call someone – anyone – or live a life without pain?
All of a sudden, your world has changed.
Thanks to your generous support, the funds we raise will allow people living with multiple sclerosis to access vital MS support services. Support to keep Aussies living with multiple sclerosis connected to others and connected to the information and services they need to live their best life.
Thank you again for your support!

Wednesday 14th Oct Managed to top 650 km today - so over half way with 17 days still to go. Cycled 43 km out to Seletar and around the airfield.
Day 12 and 13
Tuesday 13th Oct 37 km and 40 km rides to keep the score board ticking over nicely. No big drama

Day 10: And 110
Saturday 10th Oct Managed to get in 110 km today riding out to Changi Village and back helping to clock up a few extra Km’s and helping Dan and I build up to finishing at the end of the month with a round island ride.
Day 9

Day 9
Friday 9th Oct A gentle 45 km spin along the West Coast Highway
Day 8
Thursday 8th Oct

Day 8 Yuk!
Thursday 8th Oct 40 km in the rain - and didn’t it rain! A real tropical downpour for the whole ride
Day 7 and another 50 kilometers
Wednesday 7th Oct Another beautiful day for cycling on Singapore. Rain was (inevitably) forecast but stayed away. A 50 km ride out to the East Coast for a couple of hours was just the way to start the day.
Day 6
Tuesday 6th Oct

Day 6
Tuesday 6th Oct

Day 6 half century
Tuesday 6th Oct Did 50km today which if I was actually in Australia would see me riding from Monash to Lindsay Point or in the middle of nowhere on the Sturt Highway! I actually had a much easier ride out to the north of Singapore island and completed a Mandai Loop
Day 5 Still on track
Tuesday 6th Oct Managed another 48 km today split over 2 rides - 31 km loop this morning and another 17 km this evening staying pretty close to home. With 238 km under my belt, if this was a real, instead of a virtual ride, from Adelaide I would be in Monash instead of back home in Singapore!
Day 4 Rest day
Sunday 4th Oct A hike, some reading and a couple of glasses of red later will wrap week one up nicely
Day 3
Saturday 3rd Oct

Day 3 a 100km ride
Saturday 3rd Oct I managed to clock up 100km today Cycling out to Changi Village and back. Thanks to Dan Konig for keeping me company for over 80km.
Day 2
Friday 2nd Oct

Day 2 Adelaide to Wollongong
Friday 2nd Oct A fantastic day for riding ... warm, dry, breeze and in spite the weather forecast saying humidity was 91% it didn’t feel like it. It is one of those days you feel you could just keep going!
Day 1
Friday 2nd Oct

Day One Adelaide to Wollongong
Thursday 1st Oct So my ride started with a gentle 42km loop around the Western part of Singapore. Mostly dry and surprisingly cool this morning although I did get drenched in a downpour during the last 30 mins of the ride.Thank you to my Sponsors
