What an amazing 21 days it has been!
 

Collectively MS Gong Riders have smashed through a whopping 62,470 kilometres training and this week we smashed past $421,000 raised - thank you!

We know it’s been tough to get those training kilometres in, particularly for those riders in lockdown - and we’ve been in awe of your creativity and determination!

Our final week’s challenge was the Longest Lap - smash out your longest training ride possible, and share it with your friends and family on social. There were many outstanding efforts, but for sheer perseverance and creativity in lockdown, our final 21 Day Challenge winner is Shuvendu Kumar, who cracked out his first every century ride by doing 7 laps within his 10km lockdown radius!

Thank you all for your amazing efforts through the 21 Day Challenge, and every day since!

It’s never been more needed.

Welcome to Week 3 of our 21 Day Challenge - are you ready for a fast finish?
 

So far, our amazing MS Gong Riders have smashed through a whopping 50,817 kilometres training and this week we smashed past $400,000 raised - thank you!

Thank you also for lighting up social media on Gear Up Thursday! We loved to see you pounding out emails in your helmets and jerseys, and sharing how important support is for people and their families living with MS through lockdown.

It was a tough choice, but we decided in the end that Euan McCutcheon wore it best!

Well done Euan - a $100 Rebel Sport voucher is on it’s way to you!

 

This week we are lining up and going for GOLD with our final challenge - The Longest Lap!

You’ll need to get creative here if you are restricted to exercise within 5km of home, but the weather has been awesome and we know you are up to the task!

Go the distance and then share your biggest/longest/most loopiest training effort this week.

If you can’t get the kilometres under your tyres on the road, go for your longest number of training minutes .

Share your efforts and your personal page link with your friends and family and ask them to donate.

Welcome to Week 2 of our 21 Day Challenge - and what a cracking start!
 

So far, our amazing MS Gong Riders have smashed through a whopping 40,686 kilometres training and $397,470 raised in total!

It was brilliant to see so many MS Gong Riders posting to social last week, showing off their training, in and out of lockdown across the country.

A huge thanks to all of you who dug deep and rallied your mates and family to chip in to support your ride - it’s never been more needed.

Last year in our first lockdown, demand for MS services doubled in just one month. Our MS Services team has adapted again to make sure people living with multiple sclerosis continue to have access to vital support, services and information right now.

Every dollar you raise right now will make a massive impact and help meet that growing need.

Your challenge for last week was to crank out three training rides/walks/sessions, and post them to social.

Well done to Tapendra Rana - our MS Gong Legend of the week who hit his training goals and is the winner of the $100 Rebel Sport voucher for Week 1.

Spend this Thursday in your best cycling jersey and gear - all day!
On Zoom  at work, on your walk or training ride  in the morning, essential shopping, mowing the lawn - wherever you find yourself this Thursday.

Take a photo  of yourself in your best MS Gong Ride look and share it on your favourite social media with the hashtag: #msgongchamp

Tell people why you are dressed up and share your link with them to donate.

Hello MS Gong legends!

We know many of our riders are currently living with local COVID restrictions – we hope you and your families are doing well and you are staying safe!

Our whole MS Gong Ride community is with you – and we thought what better way to show our solidarity is to all team up over the next few weeks and keep our training and MS Gong Ride prep momentum going.
 

 
Here’s what’s happening:

Each week for the next three weeks, we’re going to throw out a challenge to all of our riders – and there’s prizes in store for those who get on board.

This week your challenge is to get out and about in your local area and log at least three training activities on your personal rider fundraising page. On your bike on the road, on a wind trainer at home, even walking or running for some cross-training counts!
 

  

Here's how to get onboard:

Log three training activities  in your personal rider hub before midnight, Monday July 26. It's easy - just go to your dashboard, and add in your activity each time you train.

Share a photo  of your training this week on your favourite social media channel using the hashtag: #msgongchamp and the link to your personal fundraising page. Make sure your post or story is set to public when you share, so that we can connect as a community by searching the hashtag.

Add a message to your post  encouraging your friends and family to chip in to support the cause and celebrate your efforts. Here’s an easy one we’ve written for you:
