I'M RIDING 100KM THIS OCTOBER
TO FIGHT MS
I'm taking the Challenge to fight MS!
On November 1st, I am taking part in the 2026 MS Gong Ride!
This year is extra special as the MS Gong Ride celebrates 45 years of riders coming together to support people living with MS and other neurological conditions. I can't wait to be part of this incredible legacy
Why am I fundraising?
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic and often debilitating disease which attacks the central nervous system. It is the most common neurological disease in young adults and often attacks people in the prime of their lives. Cases of MS are rising and over 37,700 Australians live with the condition.
Your support will help people with multiple sclerosis receive the vital support, treatments, and services to help them live well at home, remain connected to work, and be part of the community, becuase no one should face MS alone.
Thank you again for your support!
My Updates
Week 1 Complete (265km)
Wednesday 8th Jul While week one of training started poorly with a broken chain. I was able to get in 190km on the indoor trainer and 70km of on road riding.Monday sarted with a broken chain on my new recumbent trike. So I rode my single speed bike to the bike shop to book it in for a chain resizing.
I rode my longest indoor ride of 100km on Rouvy focusing on zone 2 power and then after a days break completed another 90km on Rouvy focusing on zone 2 heart rate.
On the weekend after the recumbent trike was repaired. Which was 2x broken chains and a new cassette. I was able to take it for its first ride/drive. I thought my normal casual 50km route would be a suitable bench mark. I don't know if it was the 200km already in my legs, or the trikes super slow tyres. But I had to call off the ride at 40km and catch the train back. The trike was fun and I was able to chat with people who wanted to know about it. But the tyres are slow and I was felt like I was pushing high watts for low speed (no power meter on it yet).
First Training Day = 100km (Virtually)
Wednesday 1st Jul
